The purpose of World Economy is "strategic, theoretical, comprehensive, and practical". On the one hand, it focuses on publishing high-level papers that reflect the domestic academic level, have innovation and high academic value, in order to promote the development of China's world economic theory and discipline construction. On the other hand, in response to the needs of reform, opening up, and economic construction, the journal selectively publishes some practices, lessons learned, and corresponding policy recommendations from foreign economic development for reference by relevant institutions and government decision-making.
